Well, you can add extra crits, but there's nothing to replace a regular blade with space magic. But give it constant Light spell of some kind to make it bright, add an extra Heat crit with Additional Crit III, and to ensure it is OP, Increased Size True.

You could even make it defend against ranged attacks by embedding Deflections; you'd probably want to make this a Constant effect.

I'll end my part in this AI discussion. You'll find enough publications online regarding AI image generation if you truly want to learn, I know as I've had a particular interest in the subject, ever since these generators first surfaced.
I understand how it works. Because I don't agree with you on aspects of it doesn't mean I need to 'learn' more. More likely it means you need to learn that your point of view isn't 'reality'.
This just proves how off track you are regarding the subject.
Or how stuck in your ways or closed minded you are.

I wonder, how many people who wholeheartedly oppose AI art are aware of Sora, or sono.ai?
The world is changing, whether we like it or not. We might as well get better images from it.
What I have heard were fairly mediocre songs, which is largely my opinion of my AI 'art' at this point.  I'm sure it will get better with time, but until AI is capable of independent and creative thought it won't be better than talented artists.  (And I'm not at all thrilled with the idea of AI capable of independent thought).

That'll give you an ordinary sword that springs out of the hilt, a far cry from a superweapon meant to make melee viable in a world with plasma repeater rifles.

Correct. One step at a time: First we invstigate the principle of a switch-on weapon. And it just surprised me how easily that could be done.

[...] If you want some of the "cuts everything" feel of a lightsaber, add Doorcleaver, Shield Breaker, and Armor Breaker. Maybe Weapon Breaker, but since lightsabers generally would be meleeing another force weapon, they are really noted for cleaving weapons.

But even with all that, it is still not a full lightsaber. We'll have to add light, and heat. I am not sure such weapons enchantments exist in RMU TL right now?

AI generators use and merge pre-existing images, they can never in the near future learn to paint something on their own without relying on scraped databases of images and photos made by humans, scraped and used without said artists consent.

This comment isn't aging well even now...

RMC/RM2 / Re: Question about Flying spell

It would only work on an intelligent object. If you want to move something else under your control, that would be telekinesis.

I use the similar skill rules from RMCII and I consider flying a 1/4 acrobatics ranks.

As for the effect, I usually say that a person can fly themselves, but the confusing part is a "target" can be an object. So what happens when cast on a chair? Does the caster control it or does it not do anything? It says in the spell "the same as levitate" but I would think levitating an object makes more sense than "flying" an object.

I have never thought about the need of acrobatics for flying. Do you ask for acrobatics rolls on basic flying or only if the target is trying a complex maneuver when flying, like attacking?
I have always thought that basic magical flight is easily controllable.
I would say basic magical flight (i.e. flying in a fairly straight line under decent conditions) requires a bit of practice, like learning to ride a bicycle. After all, you are moving by force of intent, not by muscle power.
On the other hand, flying in combat conditions would require a dedicated combat style. And flying in poor weather would certainly require some kind of manoeuver roll, and unless you have a Flying skill, Acrobatics is as good a candidate as any.
