Everything old is new again

Wizards of the Coast is finally cracking open the digital vault on their vast library of former edition products.  Good adventure inspiration here:

I saw that. Interesting.

Not that anybody was waiting for this event or anything, but there's so much traffic on the  server that the site crashed. :D

We have a (misguided) group member who wants to run DnD 3.5.  I really kinda wish he'd just run 2nd Ed (if we're going to go back to simple, I'd prefer it actually be simple). :)

Anyhow, I'll have to point this out to him.

I would rather run/play AD&D over 3.X, as well. What is up with that?

Because everything after 2nd Ed is trying to be more like Rolemaster... but failing. :)

Yeah, I can see that.

Interesting but unfortunately a lot of stuff isn't there I would be interested in - Birthright for example.   I'm not sure if it is still there but they used to have a lot of pdf's for free on the wotc site - lots of source books mainly but quickie adventures as well.  2nd ed mostly.

Re additions - Pathfinder is actually a pretty fun version but when someone asks if they can do something with a spell I always say 'well you roll your spell mastery, never mind'.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.    Buddha
