Director's Briefing - 6th June 2012
« on: June 06, 2012, 04:17:01 AM »
This is the eleventh of our scheduled Director’s Briefings, and all being well, this will be the first of two Briefings this month.

HARP Fantasy is proceeding well through the layout phase. HARP Martial Law is still being worked on – Fighter, Monk, Ranger, Rogue and Warrior Mage have been upgraded in line with HARP Fantasy. Still to do is Karl the Mad and stat blocks for typical Clerics, Harpers, Mages and Thieves. Most of the artwork for College of Magics has already arrived and the remaining pieces are expected in the next few days. We will be going through Loot: a Field Guide shortly and designating which of its illustrations need replacing. We also plan on giving Loot a brand-new cover.

The first Spacemaster: Privateers product, namely Vehicle Manual, has already been rereleased in pdf on the OneBookShelf network. Blaster Law and Future Law are already in the OneBookShelf system and will appear this week. The other four products will appear as soon as they are ready. As has been noted in previous Briefings, the Spacemaster: Privateers archives are best described as fragile. We believe that we will be able to make them available as print-on-demand, but it may be a bit touch and go. Consequently this, and other projects going on, has led to a tactical change on how to proceed with the Spacemaster DataNets. We will be quickly rebranding these and rereleasing all of them as individual pdf-only products.

Turning to Rolemaster, we will also be able to bring back the Rolemaster Quarterlies, as rebranded pdf-only products. RMSS Arcane Companion will be returning as a searchable scanned pdf in the next few days. Channeling Companion will be handed over to the layout gurus to see how it can be best recovered.

The long march of the rebranding phase is finally coming to an end. The next much shorter phase will determine which of the rebranded products are in a fit state to become print-on-demand products

Look for a special Director’s Briefing later this month.

Best wishes,
Nicholas

All good news and great to hear.

Dumb question re Rolemaster Quarterly - does this mean the periodical will resume with new issues, or are you simply making existing issues available again?

Eagerly looking forward to the second June announcement.
