Title: Stat Gain Roles and Background Options

Playing RMSS, does selecting A Stat Gain role during the background option section of character development grant me :

A) A stat gain roll for ALL stats
or
B) A stat gain roll for specifically selected stat (requiring me to take this multiple times if I want to raise several stats).

In the reading, I'm just not getting it

Neither, actually.  You are buying an extra stat roll.  so you get 11 instead of the 10 everyone else gets.  One for each stat, and the 11th for whicever stat you want.

As an aside, I would not buy an extra stat roll.  You will quickly get to your Pot.s.
