As it turns out I had already done Aegir.  He somehow slipped through the cracks as I copied and pasted all of these into my post.

The death group I wanted to have at least one nicer/friendlier choice for and one more traditional choice for.

Hel is the one of Loki's children who really got the shaft, she's actually nice, but does have role to play in Ragnarok. Fenrir and Jormundgand are truly destructive, but Hel? Until Ragnarok, all she does is rule her afterlife.

Hel not being all that bad really works well in my setting.  The death gods are not really evil, they are just creepy and make people generally uncomfortable. 

I think I forgot to put Aegir's Favored Categories in my last post.  I went with: Outdoor and Athletic.

I went ahead over my break and slapped together something for Ran.  I haven't been able to think real hard about it, but this should be a good place to start for her.

I too, tire of the "death is evil" trope. Being the ultimate unknown, it seems scary, but scary != evil. Hel chose a semi-fearsome appearance, but she downplayed it compared to her brothers. Death isn't evil, it just is.
