Newbie question about spears in MERP

Hi! New to this community and new to MERP.

In the MERP rules, spears have a -5 to OB and throwing spears have -10.

If used with one hand, the bearer uses the 1H slashing table when attacking with such weapons.

If used with both hands, however, the bearer uses the 2H weapon table, adding +10 to OB.

Question: In this latter case, is the +10 OB instead of the -5/-10 or is it added to the modification (resulting in +5 OB for ordinary swords and +/- 0 for throwing spears)?

Add the 2H mods to the initial mods and that is your result.
No change to thrown bonus since you cannot throw with both hands effectively, heh.
