Developing Tarakis based campaign
« on: June 18, 2014, 03:47:36 PM »
Loving emer 3 and thinking about starting a low level campaign around the shay settlement of Tarakis.

About to create a few maps of region, towns, and villages. Wanted to get opinions of the community.

For starters:

Tarakis -
Population-Thinking around 1000? Too big? Too small?

Architecture style - thinking rustic Norse style. Lots of log cabin kinda construction with thatched roofs.

Boat style - long boats

More to come...

Disclaimer: I have never read the shadow world source books.

Now...
Simply by looking at teh geography I would estimate the city to be the Capital of the region. ( and if not then a major trade city)  Thusly I would estimate it to have a population between 10k - 50k focusing primarily on trade and associated industries (i.e. naval (marine/river) and caravaning.)
