I was getting the above error when I try to launch ERA. I was able to fix it by reinstalling, but am wondering what could have caused it. I'd like to avoid it in the future. :)

Haven’t heard of that one but sounds like something was overwritten or lost for a race/profession pic?
Did it occur on startup of the base program or when opening a previous character/NPC build?
Await better experts, though.

Startup. AFAIK nothing changed.

Since we can't see the attachment before a moderator approves it, you can speed up the troubleshooting by sending the files to the support account: era-support.voriigkye@recursor.net.
Most likely there is useful information in the file ERA/Server/ERA-Support.log, so make sure to include it as well.

There's no attachment. The error is "Please select an image file."

Did the message appear in the browser, in the ERA server box, or was it an operating system dialog?
What operating system are you using?

ERA box and Windows 10.

I tried several scenarios and none give that message.
In case it happens again let us know, maybe more occurrences help us determine the cause.

I've used it to create a ton of pregens. I'm looking forward to having it available in a session. :)

Is there any logging done? If so, I'll remember to capture them should this ever happen again.

Most error messages in the ERA server box and while using the application in a browser will be logged into the ERA/Server/ERA-Support.log file.
It is always a good idea to check that file and send it when asking for help with an issue to the support mail account.
