Hi everybody, it seems to me that in Harp - 1st edition, differently from Rolemaster and Merp, there are no "low" open ended rolls, right? I mean, if I roll 01 - 05 in Harp - 1st edition I don't have to roll again and subtract the new result from the former: is it correct? Am I missing something?
Many thanks!

True. In HARP there are no low open-ended rolls.

Note that weapons DO have fumble chances, however. This can be anything from 2% to 6%, depending on the weapon and how you're wielding it. So in a way, there IS a penalty for rolling low, at least with weapons.

No, but you might have to make a fumble roll. More than combat and magic can mess up explosively.
