Is the Guild Companion dead?

I noticed that there hasn't been a new 'issue' since May.

It looks like (in the words of John Cleese) 'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This Guild Companion is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker!

'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies!
'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig!
'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!!

THIS IS AN EX-Guild Companion!!

It would be sad if it is. I was hoping to submit some character classes and that sort of thing once RMu came out and we had final stat for things like professions, spellcasting mods, etc. But as JDale noted, it is hard to write for a moving target, so I've been holding off. And I'm not sure if the GC would be the appropriate forum for things like new classes (would be good to know ICE's vision for that).

I will have to go comfort myself with some lovely spam, spam, spam.

Well, the Guild Companion may only live as long as someone submits articles. I suspect no one did recently, as any potential writer is waiting for RMU to be released, in order not to publish something that becomes obsolete a few weeks or months after it's published.

Months is undefined, it could be 1, 5 or 72. OLF isn't wrong.

Some sort of announcement might be in order one way or the other, I'd think. If it's on hold pending submissions, that's nice to know. If it's actually gone the way of the Norwegian Blue, that's also good to know.

I first found the Guild Companion when I logged on to this internets thing back in 2000 only to discover that ICE had gone out of business. It's been nice to have it around ever since. Hope there is more to come.

Nicholas has addressed the 500 errors, http://www.ironcrown.com/ICEforums/index.php?topic=19157.0  They are planning to move to a new host since the current host has not been able to assist.
