Question about Shadow World magical languages

According to the Addendum B there are two magical languages, Aludos (enruning for Essence) and Kronyt (symbols and glyphs for Channeling). Would be fair to say that the "Read Runes" skill is in fact learning either one of these languages for essence of channeling and that a spell caster would have to develop ranks in each seperately?

You have to define which of the many magical languages is doing what for your campaign- the RFRPG Essence companion 7.2.2 shows many options for that. Since SW was the official world I would use these options. Read runes will not help you, you need ranks in each magic language anyway.
