Gryphon BMR and flight BMR?

(1/2) > >>

ReaperWolf:
The method for determining a gryphon's BMR has me confused.

Anybody care to take a crack at breaking the code?

I have not looked at it in quite a while but I thought there was some errata on in some where. Have you tried the vault or an errata file?

Thom @ ICE:
BMR's are all revised with the enhanced HARP.
New BMR calculation is based upon:
Shoulder height - biped
Hip height - quadruped and multilegged
Wingspan - flying
Body length - swimming
Contact with ground - worm/snake

That also defines "size" using different factors - miniscule, tiny, small, medium, large, huge, gigantic which has further implications in a few areas.

So what you're telling me is I should just wing it? ;D

At least until Cyradon 2nd is released.

Thom @ ICE:
OK, looking on my notes for those calculations

Quadruped hip height estimated at 3'  (Calculated as 2/3 of the total height of 4'6")
Adjusting for the average +4 base Quickness the calculated BMR (walking) is 20"

Flight wingspan is listed in the text at 10'
Adjusting for the average +4 base Quickness the calculated BMR (flight) is 39"
(Approx 13mph)

Range around those for variable hip height is approximately 1" per 3" in hip height
Range around those for variable wingspan is approximately 1.5" per 1' in wingspan
