Query: Semi-Psychic Professions
« on: February 21, 2010, 04:48:52 PM »
Is it possible to make a Semi-Psychic profession in Spacemaster?  My cousin wants to play a psychic.  I said that my campaign is about as Han Solo-ly as you can get except without the Evil Empire.  Apparently, we've been trying to figure out a Psychic (training package) combination that would work.

I'm trying to think in terms of a Pure Spell user.  But there isn't many options except to play a *Godmind.*  Do you have any ideas?

There is a Semi-Psi profession that should be in the ICE Vault IIRC. I am also fairly sure it is in a Data Net again IIRC.

In SM2 the Semi-Psychic were presented in one of the books. I believe it was in the core books, if not then the companion.

As for SM:P I believe it was created seperately and thrown in the vault as Markc says

I think violence in games only causes violence in real life if the person in question has an insufficient mental capacity to deal with the real world in the first place. But, that's more the fault of poor genetics and poorer parenting than it is the fault of a videogame

I completely forgot about SM2 in my answer. I do not think I have any info on the SM2 semi-psi but if that is the version you are playing I will look into it.

From what I remember about the Semi-Psychic in SM2 he was fairly easy to create. Most of his costs would be those of a psychic user while 2 catagories would be chosen from another profession. A psychic/explorer could choose subtifuge and arms for instance... that is of course iirc

I will see if I can located the correct information and location when I get home from work in a few hours ...
