Channeling Companion RMSS
« on: April 05, 2018, 10:00:46 PM »
I just picked up the Channeling Companion and briefly skimmed through it. I couldn’t find the spell lists for the Rune Mage and the Mana Molder. Are they a different book?
Thanks
Mike

I'm afraid that those 2 professions (and base lists) are in the Essence Companion, not the Channeling Companion.  :-\

I agree, even if I think that the priest list could be more variated. But I would love to see much of the companions material in RMU, it's so helpful in making unique choices to customize magic in various setting.

Yep.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

Well gosh, thanks guys.  ;D

We really wanted to go further with the Priest concept, but the powers that be limited us in our scope. Even what you see in the published book was pushing the limits on what they wanted us to do, but we were rather... insistent.

Also wanted to dig into building your own religions/gods, and avatars, but that could have been a book on it's own with the page count limitations placed on us.

And it would have been an awesome book, I'm sure. Every master who prefers to build his own world instead of using pre-constructed settings would have loved it. I definetly would.

Indeed! All the realm companions from RMSS are excellent, sadly falling into the "good reading" category only these days as I'm not getting much play in.

I agree. And, above all, I've to admit that I've fallen in love with all of the considerations about scrying the present, divining the future and evoking the past (along with all of the countermeasures) that IMO make the Mentalism Companion an absolute must.
