Please post that to the Cyradon forum - I'd love to see it. :)

What more do I need to do for the convention this past October?

Have you sent a summary of the activities to Colin or OIC?
I do the awarding, so once I have the individuals and points to be awarded, I update the system.

My apologies - I missed that post.
I'll follow up with Colin and we'll get your points awarded.

By the way... thanks for representing us.

Probably posted elsewhere, but what are the OIC points for?

I was just wondering because I have been telling some persons about the RM system and how it is being rebranded into RMUS.  They were interested, but I refused to loan my RM materials on the premise, "But then you may not like it, and I may never see you or my materials again."

I guess one way I could prove some are interested is by telling them to join the forum boards and list me as a reference.

Basically, is there a listing of what actually earns OIC points somewhere on the boards?

For the referrals, the link I have on my website has a "referredby" tag with it, but I'm not sure if that works with these forums or if that was possibly for an earlier version.  Here's what it looks like:

I will look into how that shows up on our side.  If we're not able to track it, then it doesn't do any good.  Just because someone follows a link from your site to a registration page on ours, doesn't mean that they definitely go through with the registration so it really needs to be connected to the registration on our side.

Our standard has always been that if a new member joins and simply sends a PM or posts a message saying they joined because of X's referral - then X gets the credit.  Whether that referral is due to a link on your page, blog posts, convention chats, or any other way that they heard about the site...

Hi Thom,
Where you able to find out if this does anything on your end? If it doesn't, then I'll get rid of that part of my link and just put in a note to post or PM that they were referred by me.
Thanks!

I have tried a few things - but the current "referral" mod that you were referencing was a self-loaded, custom mod developed by the previous webmaster.  We have since updated the software revision for the forums so it does not appear to be functioning in this version.

I recommend you transition as you described and request new members to reference you via PM once they join.
