Quoting an official statement by ICE this weekend regarding AI generated content in ICE products, after someone asked permission to create content with AI generated images for use with VTTs:

"Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm afraid it is a no for now. We don't want our products to feature AI artwork in any form."

Rolemaster / Re: The Forsaken: an Undead Race for Rolemaster (any edition)

They sound just like a type of free will undead, so I'd just slap an undead template on a base species (human?).

So, for RMU:
Attack:
Defense: Abomination (-20 DP) Regeneration, magical [1 H/ rnd, 10 min.] (30 DP) Proof, critical, no bleed (10 DP) Proof, critical, no stun (10 DP) Proof, critical, critical reduction I (10 DP)
Form: Body: dead flesh [1] (0 DP) Lifeless (5 DP) Breathing, no (20 DP) Distinct odor (-10 DP)
Miscellaneous: Type, undead III [III] (-3 DP) Mindless (-25 DP) Unsleeping (20 DP) Disturbing voice II [-20] (-20 DP)
Senses: Special: life sense II [10'R/ lvl] (20 DP) Dead sense deprivement (-30 DP)

Remove the Mindless, and it comes to requiring 42 DP, so basically it costs a level of development.

Ah thanks. I think that will help.

Having had time to live with it for a while now, I also like almost all of the RMU art. [...]

I wholeheartedly disagree. RMU's art is horrible for the purpose that it should serve, namely, to inspire people to play fantastic characters.

I don't know, 15DP is kind of cheap for double the recovery rate and reducing/eliminating the recovery effects of dead zones. Adding tap personal to one of the others is even cheaper for what is essentially a conditional application of greater eloquence worth 40DP for the benefits of casting time on spells less than 10pp and worth even more on higher pp spells.

Eliminating the recovery effects of dead zones is ribbon ability, unless such zones are common in your campaign worlds. 15DP is reasonable for double recovery, as it doesn't change the downtime of the party. everyone else needs 8 hours. Without a more tangible benefit no character would take it in my campaign setting.

You could remove Unsleeping and just have them go into a torpor etc. Disturbing Voice and Distinct Odor are optional depending on what kind of undead you are going for. But the general approach, sure, just build a race with whatever package of traits you want.

Given that tapping personal mana negates one of the advantages of tapping fixed or ambient mana (not bering detectable by magic unless you are currently casting a spell) I'd go ahead and let the player use the better recovery rate. After all they did pay the DPs to get the second source (so min. of 3/8 of a level). Otherwise a second mana source has very little to no value over tap personal mana.

Hmmm...
I'd say that you couldn't use more than a single source for a single spell.

This is the problem with using PP as both mana and the bodies ability to use mana. I think the rules hint at only using one type of mana in most cases, but if you are going to use two I think you have to at least keep track of how many PP are spent of each type. I would recover the fixed first, since in theory you still have those "mana points" in your personal battery, you just can't use them since your body can't handle it.

I guess you could use multiple sources in a single spell, but I would require the longest casting time of the sources used. Not sure it would make sense to do so but it could work.

I will note that by adding the tap personal mana or granted mana you lose the advantage of not detecting as magic with the spell or sense.

Rolemaster / The Forsaken: an Undead Race for Rolemaster (any edition)

Hi,

My cousin Soulcleave wants to play an undead character in my home game. I thought I would ask for help on converting the Forsaken from the World of Warcraft Roleplaying Game, so he can. I'm just looking for guidance.  We will be using RMSS, but it can be for RMU and RM Classic as well.
