Yet thousands of miles away, the Han Dynasty is at its height... The Chinese knew of Rome through Parthia but the Romans never bothered to ask the Parthians what existed beyond Parthia's borders. The later Byzantines eventually became China's largest customer for silk before Giovanni Del Carpine ventured East.
