Guild Companion September 2009 (Issue 127)
« on: September 05, 2009, 02:33:41 AM »
Greetings from the Guild Companion,

The September issue (#127) is now available at http://www.guildcompanion.com

In this month's issue, we have an essay on the social implications of the Magent base list, a revisionary look at how the Ranger and how the Bard spell lists ought to be, conversion guidelines from Rolemaster to HARP, new monstrous templates for HARP, an essay on the ground forces of Universal Night Watch for the Spacemaster/Silent Death universe, and updates from the Editor on the New World Order's convention initiative and progress on Something Wicked.

Best wishes,
Nicholas

Perhaps I could suggest "The Joinings" as a name for these demonic abominations.

After reading the article about the ranger, I was wondering (once again) if the ranger is not a little bit too "extended" between woodcraft, combat, magic, perception... I think that the ranger would make an excellent non-spell user specialized in outdoor and combat.
Now there's a plan : we go there, we blast him, we come back...
Fighters forever !

If you want a non-spell-casting outdoorsman, a Rogue does just fine.
Rolemaster: When you absolutely, positively need to have a chance of tripping over an imaginary dead turtle.

Thanks  ;)
I'd like to hear some feedback on them, so if you want to share your opinion, suggest ways to improve them, etc... I'm all ears!
I suppose a magician might, he admitted, but a gentleman never could.
