I started with RM2 but have also played RMFRP for several years.

I stand by my last post. RMC is easier to grasp and imho more playable. RMSS is a great game and I would definately play it if RMC wasn't available.
Me and my group came to a crossroads. No-one really liked the excessive number of skills in RMSS and when RMC was relased we decided to give it a try.
RMC has a lot less skills and it takes some getting used to. However once you do get used to it the skills are quite sufficient.
That's why I say only change to RMSS/RMFRP if you feel you need the additional 300 or so skills. Most people get School of hard knocks later on and the number of skills is staggering.
