Spacemaster: Privateers PbP: Confederation Trader 2611

In AD 2600 the human race is finally beginning to realise its full potential. Hundreds of colonised planets scattered across the galaxy host a multitude of prosperous and wildly diverse cultures. Genetic engineering aided by nanonic enhacements has pushed evolution far beyond nature's boundaries, reducing disease and producing extraordinary spaceborn creatures. Huge fleets of sentient trader starships thrive on the wealth created by the industrialisation of entire star systems. And throughout inhabited space the Confederation Navy keeps the peace. A true golden age is within humanity's grasp.......

....but still ever so slightly out of reach.

Despite the relatively stable interstellar situation policed by the Confederation, soldiers for hire are still a large business. Although there are no longer any land wars or interstellar invasions, the requirement for 'special forces' is at an all time high. Asteroid settlement rebellions against their founding parent companies are a frequent occurrence. Insurrections on stage one colony worlds are not unheard of. Every day new data hits the news threads about piracy of cargo vessels, data theft and hostile corporate takeovers. The Confederation is anything but a paradise.

The game will be set in Peter F. Hamilton's 'Confederation' universe, using the setting (but NOT the plot) from his "Night's Dawn" trilogy. Knowledge of the setting is encouraged but not essential, there is a vast amount of background material that can and will be provided.

Anyone is welcome, please come and check it out. There is a very rich source of background material to give any interested players a good grounding in the setting.

Rule #0: A GM has the right to change any rule in a book to fit their game.
Role Play not Roll Play.

I sent out an email to around 10 people but no one has replied back to me. I also pointed them here just in case the decided they did not like me for some reason.  :)
