What should I concentrate on... once I am settled back in Charlottesville, sometime around the end of October...?

I'll try and make this post shorter and more coherent.
Books on culture for each main people. (Elves, Dwarves, humans)
Books on religion, one per continent should work (Jaiman, Emer,...)

Lots of detailed information on where they live, specific cultures and customs, their religions and worships)
Previous works have been great for an overview but I'd love to see grassroots details.

Thank you for listening, I realize my wishes might not coincide with the wishes of the masses.

Whilst I'd personally like to see Wulriis or Emer 4, it might be a better idea finishing the revamp of Emers 1 and 2.

Honestly, I'd really love to see Emer 4.  Right now, there are all these trails and threads in the other three books that are just lying about and Emer 4 would finally tie together the continent into a unified whole.

Similarly, Kaitaine has been touched on in some of the other books, but given its importance as the major trade hub of the south and the ties it brings to the neighboring continents, it would be nice to see it given a major treatment, like Sel-Kai/Eidolon.

Yes progressive lenses are great as well as feather light lenses and something I like to call disappearing frames.

My wife got laser eye surgery...worked wonders if you can afford it...other than that I recommend putting a simple desktop lamp behind your computer monitor.  Apparently it makes a big difference in that it keeps your iris' apertures small when looking at your screen and therefore avoids damaging your eyes.  I have done this for years and my eyesight has remained sharp. Hope this helpful!

Eidolon update: I have sent the print files to Nicholas, so if all goes well, the print version might be available in 1-2 weeks. Meanwhile, final preparations for my move back to Charlottesville!

Yeah, good luck with the move. The last time I moved house I managed to lose all my Spacemaster books and campaign notes.

Put on a little Anne, "The sun will come out tomorrow...", you need her.

brandivil,
Thanks for that info. I will look into it but I am a bit lacking on space and I have a window behind my monitor that provides some light (when the sun shines here in the NW that is) ;D

Hi All,

I am now officially back in Charlottesville, VA, where I went to college, met the friends who I would learn about RPGs with; and wewould become ICE. It is also a place that I came to think of as kind of like Lorien, because time flows a little differently in this town, with the venerable University of Virginia at its heart. Here is the view from my new home office in my little condo from the 2nd floor. Autumn on the outskirts of Lothlorien? (okay ignore the roads!)

Nice to see you settle back home in Lorien. I hope this will spur more trips down memory lane (like the one you shared re the birth of mentalism, I enjoyed reading that). I hope to see Wuliris and Emer IV out next. I much prefer new original material to re-writes. However, as I own everything done in Shadow World, I will still probably end up buying Eidolon (at some weak moment, lol). As starfit, I also hope that Kaitaine will get special attention. I see that place as very multicultural (with multiple races from various continents) and a rich setting for interesting adventure.

Thanks, Emer IV is definitely on the horizon, and I have already pulled together all my previous work on it and done an outline. And yes Kaitaine is much more multicultural than Sel-kai. It won;t get the whole giant book treatment on its own but it will get lots of attention. After all much of SW Emer is desert; what could be there...?   ;)

So I guess after Wuliris/NE Jaiman, I should concentrate on Emer IV next? Emer III sold well, so I guess there is interest. Meanwhile Emer I and II are in the process of major revisions and expansions. It would be great to have a complete set of Emer books all in print!

Good morning!

As I was rather late to the game, I don't have either of the original Emer volumes, and as they're both OOP getting them is challenging. While I'm all for new content, making the older stuff (that's necessary and ties into what's new/available now) available again is significant for those of us who don't already HAVE a complete collection.

I waited for probably 10 years to get a copy of Eidolon, so I can wait a little longer for Emer I and II to be re-released.

Rochndil, still reading through Eidolon...

Good to hear of interest in the new editions. I am working on both Emer I and II and I promise for even owners of the old editions these will have lots of new material and details! I am still getting settled and unpacked here (as you might imagine I have tons of books to unpack) but soon will be settled and going full-steam.

Where do you see these gold/silver/gold ratings? I never know where to look.

Edt: No worries I have found the ratings on the right hand side now.

Every time I try to get the Eidolon page on RPGNow, I get an error. What's up with that?
