A quote that frequently comes up in the games I've played over the years is:
"Fire Cleanses"
I believe it started in a DnD game with a priest who would say it as he first cast "Flame Strike".
The parties ranger took to the saying afterwords. He also like to use the euphemism "Set them free". This ranger was frequently assigned the task of setting free those the party (containing a paladin and goodly priest) had captured in the woods behind the parties stronghold. Oddly enough the party never heard from those former captives again.
This led to another phrase that has had some long-lasting usage in my gaming group. "Alignment Laundry". Those individuals who were more - shall we say "morally flexible" used the alignment laundry to get around the moral restrictions of the rest of the party. In practice this resulted in the Paladin (generally considered a just judge) sentencing captives to exile, where-in the party mage or bard (morally flexible) took the sentenced to the less morally flexible ranger who was told they were convicted and sentenced to be "Set free never to return" knowing the rangers use of the euphemism.
