On the Delwing Ways (open essence) spell list there is a spell, which reads:
17. Conveyance — Caster’s awareness leaves his body (which is
inactive for the duration of the spell) and may travel at 1 mile per
minute. However, it can only travel 10' per round when moving
through solid material or when observing the world. If the spell
expires before the caster returns to his body, he will return to his
body at the fixed rate of 500' per round, and upon returning to
his body, he must make a RR modified by -50 or die (the attack
level is equal to the number of rounds overstayed)
How should one handle it if a character dies in this way? What sort of healing, if any, would suffice to bring the poor mage back to life?
And, would you use a time sense maneuver to allow the caster to know how much time he has left? And then basic math, to calculate the time needed to return?
Very cool spell, but it leaves me with many questions..
