Creatures & Monsters
« on: February 06, 2009, 09:39:10 AM »
So we RPGed again last night, in Shadow World.

We fought some sentinel demons and the discussion came up about these being from Creatures & Monsters and not really listed in an Shadow World material (which was fine with the group, GM fiat and all that jazz).
But then we started talking about which parts of Creatures & Monsters fit SW and which really don't.

Any one care to comment?

Sentinels exists as constructs ( See SWMA III P 97 and IV P 190 ).

From C&M I'd say that almost everything can be used, as long a it's not overruled by the content of the Master Atlases ( typical case : Neng, demons in C&M, Constructs in SWMA ). The almost comes from the most weird stuff, the unusual races ( all the intelligent races relevant to SW are in the master atlases ) and the Planar entities... and luckily they forgot the Vlathachna ( Natralnachna IIRC in C&TII ) who would have made life interesting for the Agothu ;D
514 to see, 416 to lock, 614 to shot...Target downed...Ask the marines to pick up the pieces.

RM, RM2, RMSS, RMFRP, HARP,  MERP, Cyberspace, SM, SM2, SM:P, Star Strike, Armored Assault, SD , SD : The Next Millenium, Bladestorm, Battle of the Five Armies .... Collecting ICE production since the epoch...

I don't think that is the same as a sentinel demon, which is essentially just a fighter-type demon.
Yes - both use the word 'sentinel' but the Creatures & Monsters sentinel demons are demons where as the SW sentinels are not demons per se, they are like the "Silent Watchers" of [Middle Earth's] Minas Morgul.

More specifically, SW demons are well detailed and different than the ones in Creatures & Monsters.
