A player, already knowing they are dead, walkers up to the old red dragon... Levels his finger at the ancient creatures. (all this after failing a Dragon Lore roll)

"I, Lothar Selnor of the Elves, challenge you Old One to a Water Drinking competition!"

The dragon snorts it's dark mirth, and proceeds to drink a river dry. The party became dinner, Lothar was set free for making the dragon laugh. Lothar's player skipped from the table, with a resounding "YES!" He ignored the angry looks.

I'm told it's my duty to fight against the law
That wizardry's my trade and I was born to wade through gore
I just want to be a lover, not a red-eyed screaming ghoul
I wish it'd picked another to be it's killing tool

Well, in my game group, it is I, not my players; that have been making the Faux Pas. :D

It's simple, really.  My cousin and his gaming group asked me to be Game Master/Dungeon Master for them for D&D 3.x.  I started the game in Eberron since that is the game with the most fun.

The party is composed of a ranger, a druid everyone calls Wolfy Boy; a halfling wizard, a bard, a halfling rogue, and a swashbuckling fighter with a mean streak.  Oh, and a barbarian.  They are apparently from the "other" Adventuring area since they do bad things.

So, we have a rough and tumble party of adventurers that hate flamists. Which are religious fanatics.  So, as they visited the wizards' fair and took part in the local cuisine (crawler tenticles, yuck!) I placed a dead body in the fair.

I wanted to try something new, so I encouraged them to describe the dead body.  A little thing from Houses of the Blooded.  Well, they managed to outwit an investigator by showering him with a sulphrous smelling liquid (I described that smelled like rotten eggs).

Finally a female personality warforged attacked.  Somehow, in the tussle, our ranger wrestled with her.  In a vain attempt to kick her off, the Warforged and the ranger bounced together.  My Faux Pas was describing the scene as something obscene.  The ranger threatened to kill me and the whole group, including the ranger, broke out laughing until their sides ached.

The group decided to keep me on as DM.

 ;D

Is that an Obscene in the manner of "That lunch was Obscene!"

Or "The way he was wrestling her, and what he was using to pin her down was Obscene!"
