As the subject says, has anyone done this conversion? My spreadsheet programing skills are very rusty and I don't have the time to do it myself.
-
Have you tried just opening it with Open Office, and saving it in open office format? it's quite clever and will convert most stuff.
-
yes I did, most of the macros break. I could probably use it as a basic charsheet, but all the support for leveling up and a lot of the choices are broken.
-
Or, try using Quattro Pro X6. I have found that it imports Excel 2007 or before sheets rather well. Then save it as QPW file. Reopen the QPW file, then save as an ODS file. It has worked for me for files other than the charsheet. Let me hunt down the files when I get home over the weekend. I no longer have home internet service since even the cheapest ISP where I live wants a minimum of $120 a month. Then add all the FCC fees, charges, and taxes, and that $120 becomes about $230 a month.
If I can't find them, I'll do what I said above and upload the results.

Is this the sheet you are asking about?

It is the only one I found by JDale.

That's it, or it's also on http://www.madreporite.com/rpg/rm.htm (http://www.madreporite.com/rpg/rm.htm)
I'm afraid I used a lot of VB and ActiveX components so it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't convert well. The formulas on the sheet should probably be ok, but the dialog boxes and related functionality (e.g. for adding training packages) may be more challenging.

Have you tried looking at the OOo ODT and ODS by allenmaher?

And I did try the method I mentioned. It did not work. Sorry, netbat. However, see post directly above.

Thanks, I will take a look and see if it will be easier to convert it to RMSS or try to convert jdales to OO or use one of the other sheets. Jdales sheet is the one I have used most and like the best, but having moved to Macs only in the house I might have to give it up.
