Як я подружилася з мультиваркою
 
Зовсім недавно мої стосунки з кухнею не складалися. Я навіть яєчню примудрялася спалити або зварити макарони в кашу. Тому, коли на день народження мені подарували мультиварку, я сприйняла це не як подарунок, а як виклик.
 
Перші два тижні я навіть підходити до неї остерігалася. Вона стояла на стільниці, поблискуючи чорним пластиком, наче літаюча тарілка. Але їсти хотілося завжди, і одного вечора я вирішила ризикнути.
 
На сайті найпростішим рецептом виявилися "Ліниві голубці". Назва мене підбадьорила. Я завантажила в чашу фарш, капусту, рис і залила все томатним соком. Вимкнула страх і натиснула кнопку "Гасіння" — і вирішила не дихати.
 
За годину по квартирі рознісся аромат, що чоловік вийшов з кімнати здивований: "Ти що, справді готуєш?".
 
Коли я підняла кришку, то не повірила своїм очам. Це була справжня страва! Справжнісінькі голубці! Ми поласували нею за лічені хвилини.
 
Тепер ми з мультиваркою - найкращі подруги. Вона рятує мене щоразу: страви виходять ідеально, без мого контролю і олія не бризкає на всі боки. Я розібралася з усіма кнопочками — мову таймерів і режимів. І хоч друзі кепкують, що я не готую, а "натискаю кнопки", я знаю: справжня магія починається саме тоді, коли ти перестаєш боятися спробувати.

Getting Up to Speed

It is hard to picture a runner starting off their block at the maximum movement rate. Without going too deep into the physics of running and acceleration, let's assume an unencumbered person (carrying 0–30 lbs.) can start out at a Run (2x BMR) and accelerate two pace categories per round. This means that for round 1, they would be at a Run, for round 2 at a Sprint (4x BMR), and by round 3 a Dash (5x BMR). Characters lightly encumbered (31–60 lbs.) could start out at a Walk and accelerate 1 Pace category a round, up to the max of a Sprint (4x). Medium encumbered characters start at a Walk (1x) and increase 1 Pace category every 2 rounds, up to a maximum of Fast Run. Heavily encumbered characters start as a Walk and increase one pace category every 3 rounds, up to a maximum of Run, so they wouldn't hit the 2x running speed until round 4.

thanks for your reply.

I decided to take a chance and get all the rolemaster stuff for foundry. i've spent an hour with it and i can't say i'm disappointed at all.

A lot of the extras are very welcome and actually working, in so far as i've played around with things. We would have preferred Token Action HUD to Argon Combat HUD as we find the latter looks prettier but is more confusing to use and the former actually significantly more convenient.

But that's a small gripe. However, as i said in a previous post, i will expect the foundry implementation to do a lot of the heavy lifting because the system is very detailed.

I think there is a lot of work still to do - you need to get token images for the creatures, an introductory adventure would be good as would pregenerated characters.

i've used 36 games systems in Foundry, but not all at the same time, so i have a bit of an idea how the software works. I'm guessing you've sunk some money into this project and that makes me happy. I'm sure it'll be well-supported.

My previous experience of RMC leads me to believe that there really isn't any system that does the things that it does. That's one reason why i took a chance. And when it works even better i will feel that your offering the whole package for £67 is basically an act of charity. But there is still some way go.

A final point, and the second reason i took a chance, is that poor old merp holds a special place in my heart. I know Iron Crown (I'm not going to use the acronym at the moment...) lost the licence in 1999 which was a year before I came back to RPGs through BG2. i've collected all the stuff but the complexity defeated me - only because my group liked to use a couple of systems at a time and so i wasn't afforded the luxury of getting properly up to speed with RMC never mind MERP.

However, I pretty sure you can satisfactorily use RMU for MERP stuff. And i thought setting MERP primarily around the middle of the Third Age was a stroke of genius. it allowed familiarity and creative licence. I think.
