P 359 Example should be corrected:
"Prairies & Steppes encounter table, first rolling 62 to indicate the second of the two tables,
then 58. The result is a Big Ogre."

P.362  Prairies & Steppes (51-100) 58 is Fish, small.

Found lots of erros while leafing the pdf...

First a bit rant: there is obviously wrong classification of storm and mountain giant - they shoud be classified to something else than they are now now - two of the most powerful giants are now unable to hold their own against most of lesser ones...  lvl 30 storm giant with OB 150 with size 5 lightning bolt will not be able hold back lvl 20 stone giant with OB 190+ size 7 weapon and with more hits etc...

Now some erros:

P. 305 water giant is marked as semi spell user but it has combat stats of spell user - compare combat stats to p. 304 Frost giant (also semi spell user)  of practically same level - OB's should be abut same but now the difference is huge.

Dragons:
P 209 combat statistic table  Land drakes classified as "Skill" type --> basically harmless (data shows). However in description P.204 it is semispell user.

Undeads:
Description textboxes define all undeads as "stealth" type but combat tables have them listed correctly?
Still I think that gr mummy (p.323) shold not be of "skill" type in table p. 329  --> standard mummy is now way more dangerous.

Plants
p283 Tree, tiger  all tigers are now lvl 20 creatures - way more dangerous than actual tigers p. 72 (page number 72 is missing) tiger is lvl 9. The plant's tigers, based on description, are "normal" not super tigers... Obvious when comparing e.g. OBs. there should be link to use actual tigers stats... Hits seem to be for the tree.

You are entitled to your own interpretation, but not your own facts.

Offensive Bonus is not synonymous with attack roll.

Some attack rolls apply an offensive bonus (weapon attacks, directed spells) and some do not (Base Attack Rolls and Elemental Attack Rolls for ball attacks).

But I think we agree that our discussion is at an end. Enjoy your game.

p.25 Table T-3.1f It reports abbreviations for old version Rolemaster weapons and don't add new RMCL weapons.
p.32 Cooperation Flock/pack Attack It state creature get +20 OB bonus but consulting creature descriptions it look like the OB bonus is variable.

Page 10, Section 1.2 The Basics
The examples for Creature Category, Type and Variety do not follow the same order. It is Animals, Undead, Race for Category and Animals, Race, Undead for the the other two.
Also is there a reason to have the animals in plural, but the undead and races in singular (Vampire, Greater giant, but Carnivores)?

Some of the OB modifiers are adjusting in 15.1 and 15.3 but that doesn't mean that you can't apply a penalty to the BAR or EAR for being wounded or a bonus for a stunned target.

If you don't want to. That's fine. You do you. Everyone has house rules regardless of your opinion on who is house ruling with modifiers. I am not going to apply the same modifier for prone and downed for ranged attacks as melee (regardless of the type of attack).

BARs and EARs are OBs even if a skill doesn't improve the OB. That is not in doubt. If they were not, there would be no need to reference SL 8.0 in CL 3.3.3. I doesn't appear that I will convince you and I have no need to.

Secondarily, it is a reasonable interpretation to include additional OB modifiers from AL&CL. SL tables 15.1 and 15.3 are not the be-all end-all of spell OB modifiers; they are suggestions.

In any case, I have stated my piece and even defended it. Take care.

To be clear, those references above are references to Spell Law (sections 8.3 and 8.4).

They show that some EARs add an OB (e.g. Directed Spells) and some do not (e.g. Ball attacks). Similarly, the other type of spell attack, namely BARS, never add an OB -- there is no applicable skill and the attack table is not built for large OBs.

Soft Vacuum is identical to Vacuum I on the RMSS version of the Gas Manipulation list. The name was changed because it was inconsistent with the Magician's Vacuum I list. Being able to do more than A crits is an upgrade in RMU, as previously higher-level versions would only produce a larger radius A crit effect. RM2 Spell Law lacked even that offensive power for Gas Manipulation. So, Gas Manipulation hasn't been "reduced" in offensive power in RMU, but rather upgraded.

Note though that it is much easier (i.e. cheaper) for a Mentalist in RMU to develop a weapon with good proficiency (one or even 2 ranks/level). So that playstyle is much more viable in RMU.
