D&D Slots! What the heck?
« on: November 13, 2014, 02:09:46 AM »
I saw a add on TV tonight and had to go to the companies website to make sure I had it right. Yes D&D slots are really here, the end of the world is soon to follow.

Interesting use of the Sauron eye imagery in the ad video....  I am a bit surprised by the concept as I don't see it having the draw it did previously with the common population, but I guess with Hobbit 3 coming the D&D license was a lot cheaper than a Hobbit or Lord of the Rings license would be.

I did not watch the video but was just going off the name and the add I saw on TV.

I agree with the license part but I am still a bit surprised that "they who control" would allow something like this to happen as it is not a pinball game or something else so benign. But then I guess gambling does not have the negative connotations that it did way back in the 70's and 80's, at least in my household  ;D .

I never gamble, so it was meaningless to me.
