Is they any chance that there will be a new Cyberspace RPG produced or a Cyperpunk setting produced for HARP SF ? I doubt it personally , but would love it if there was. I'd love to see a update for the Cyberspace setting...keep it basically the same just a few tweaks , especially concerning the gangs.

I tried to get people to play this decades ago. They would say "what, that complicated game with all the tables and charts?" Years later, these were the guys who tried to convince me to play RM. 8)

HARP SF Xtreme will provide all the cyber-gadgetry needed for running a cyberpunk game (or a transhumanist game) in HARP SF. If someone feels like pitching an updated Cyberspace setting using HARP SF or a brand-new take on the cyberspunk dystopia genre using HARP SF rules, then send me a proposal.
Best wishes,
Nicholas

It never hurts to ask IMHO.

I'll have to get the HARP Sci Fi rules & go through them n' see if I like them enough to use them. If I like them I'll convert the setting I'm working on to HARP Sci Fi. If the setting turns out I may send in a proposal.
Nicholas ,
Is the Cyberspace setting owned by by Aurigas Aldebaron LLC ? If so, would someone even be allowed to rewrite or update it for HARP Sci Fi ? Just curious . There are a few changes I'd make to the setting , nothing major , like the gangs. Those need to go except a few.

Cyberspace is owned by Aurigas Aldebaron LLC.
A HARP SF version is possible.
Modifications are permitted.
Contact Nicholas and/or myself offline if you wish to make a proposal.

I am just guessing but after X years since it has been released I think probably a lot of stuff can be updated and or modified in some way.

I would expect that the Cyberspace timeline and geopolitics would also require updating.
Best wishes,
Nicholas

Yes the timeline & geopolitics would need to be updated. Also anyone who would develop such a setting would need to know how PC the company line will be... concerning political or cultural trends in an update or new HARP Sci Fi Cyberpunk setting. Like how'd they feel dealing with Islamo-Terrorism & potential trends for the future , in what to some , see as the Islamnification of Europe & other areas of the world. I know the setting I've been working on for use with Cyberspace deals with such topics. If touching on the topic is a no go for ICE/GC I'd probally shy away from doing anything for such a project.

Those are topics that are best dealt with in direct communications related to an overall proposal. Proposals for developing such products should be submitted to Nicholas and/or myself.

Also IMHO a big bold statement at the beginning and strategic places in the book that "This is a RPG and the Authors and Publishers have taken great liberties with the True Facts in the name of making an interesting setting game. We are sympathetic to events, geo-politics and world religions and it is not are intent to offend anyone when we twist the facts to make a good story line for this game setting.
Or something like that. IMHO most will say ok and move on, but there are some that take offense at even the twisting of events and facts. To those sometimes it is easy to appease them by simple measures and in rare cases stronger measures will have to be taken.
IMHO contacting someone and asking if they would like to comment on your fiction can go a long way to helping your cause.

Cool & Noted :). If I finish the setting & think it's up to snuff I'll e-mail you Nick.

After reading HARP SF and SFX, I think running a Cyberspace campaign would be a no-brainer. Dr. Nick has allready done most of the heavy lifting for you.

I'll have to wait till I can afford to order the print versions first.
