HARP SF Xtreme
« on: July 23, 2009, 03:24:18 AM »
There were some promising comments about HARP SF Xtreme possibly being released as a Gamma PDF 'in a few weeks' back in March, I believe.. Looking forward to that very much, are we any closer yet? :)

One of the art suggestions was for something like Seven of Nine to illustrate the potential of cyberware enhancement.

Best wishes,
Nicholas

Will the info in SF Extreme include rules or guidelines on how to design and make my own vehicles/starships?

I am sure it will as they (ICE) tend to go for all the intricate detail stuff - sometimes at the expense of practical in game use rules. (I am talking to you Spacemaster Privateers.)  :o

I have only one request that when you felas start writing the vehicle/starship construction design for Harp-sifi to keep it simple. I for one dont like taking 2 to 3 hours to write up one starship, about 10, 20 minutes would be fine, but more then that just loses my intrest in the design rules.

Or maybe a simple program to aid in the construction would go a long way it making it friendlier.

A program would be beneficial for those that use them.  I for one do not like using software with my roleplaying games.  I use PDFs for the books, and I use calculator for numbers, but I just can't get the hang of programs.  I'd rather it be simple to BEGIN with so that I don't HAVE to be forced to use a program.

I agree that it doesn’t need to be a set of rules to the level of Traveller, but still... something more than the SW SAGA edition design rules would be appreciated I feel.

Just keep it HARP: Simple and Flexible, with an emphasis on Flexible.  But as long as SIMPLE is still in there.
