What is buried with the dead in Cyradon?
« on: October 14, 2009, 12:20:26 AM »
 After reading HARP Cyradon one of my first thoughts was what did the Cryads, Narsi and other races bury with their dead? [Please excuse spelling mistakes]

 And how could they help the refugees with their present problems?

 What types of graves, crypts or funeral structures did they have?

 Any help would be great?

There are Narsi and Arali crypts scattered all over Cyradon. However, the greatest concentration of them is along the western edge of the Shival Range, in the area known as the Necropolis.

Arali cremate their dead, to better free their spirits, and bury the ashes in crypts with a few items that were precious to the person when they were alive. Unfortunately, some spirits just cannot let go, and remain as incoporeal undead types (ghosts, etc.)

The Narsi liked huge crypts, often burying family members and even faithful servants in the crypts as well. The Narsi also liked to bury prize possessions as well. However, such crypts are also well guarded using traps, magic and in some cases, even undead.

Narsi crypts are going to be a source smaller Tears of Life (not artifacts), and occasionally one of the larger Tears (artifacts) as well.

As for the Cyrads - nobody has ever found one of their crypts yet, so nobody knows...

Thanks Rasyr;
 If I am going to run Cyradon I know this is one of the first questions my PC's will ask.

Imagine the trouble a Schirae necromancer could cause in the Necropolis!

(Damn Dustin and his good ideas!)
