The Gift Companion has been put on hold until ICE is able to go back and rethink a few things. There were some issues and concepts that need to be better thought out before we move forward with it again.

Sorry to hear that but I'm sure you'll work out the kinks.

We will, but it needs a bit more TLC than we have to give it at this exact moment, so it has been pushed back until we can have the time to deal with it properly.

Better a delayed well-produced product than a slipshod mess.  I'm so sick of buying video games with huge errors in them only to hear "Yes, we know it sucks.  Wait for the patch!"  ::)

I was at an A's baseball game and some software developers were talking around me and said the same thing. Basically we have to release it now to meet the deadline and we can fix it all in the next couple of months. It sort of shot my confidence in the system right there and now I take more time to buy software the first week or release.
