Spaceship Deckplans
« on: October 10, 2015, 08:51:28 PM »
Where does everyone get the Deckplans they use? I have searched a ton of websites and find few good ships or only ones that are super small. Also tired of just finding exterior schematics.

Most people just create their own by hand or using, floor plan software.

I have successfully used real yacht and ship deck plans as spaceships. They take very little editing to change the names of things and I find if you turn them upside down (ships generally are smaller on the bottom than on the top whereas spaceships have no such practical requirement).

I should also say that in the past I have bought some starship deck plans and used them for a game or just for my enjoyment and ideas for other stuff. But in general I make my own.

My main source is I dig stuff up like this using Google Image Searches and just sift through the deck-plans for ones that fit what I want.
