Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Happy Solstice etc., to all the Shadow World fans out there!

I think that after NE Jaiman and SW Emer, (wonder when that will be?) it's time to start on a new continent...

Thuul or Agyra I want more on the Golden Eye & the Alliance. Keep the names produced by other writers (e.g. Shoneb Empire & the Jan), but reimagine the people & places to fit within the greater milieu. It's been more than 20 years since I read Nomads of the Nine Nations, but I don't remember it at all & never used it for anything.

Agyra has so much going for it too & it does not conflict with a previous publication. The Alliance could be the most interesting organization  in the setting. They could be the only force capable of uniting the West. They could be a perfect lesser evil relative to the Essaence Lords of the East & the Unlife. I could see Andraax or the Storm Wizard making common cause with the Alliance under certain circumstances. They could crush the Silver Dawn & the Steel Rain. It could lead to very odd "bedfellows" with the Ahrenreth, the Loremasters, & Navigators united to oppose the Alliance.

I'd like to see details on either the Alliance or Raven Queen territories, probably with the Alliance taking the lead, because they are interacting with Emer with increasing significance.

Other than that, I'd quite like to see a couple of supplements detailing the Loremaster and Navigator HQs, probably with more details on the organisations too.

I had the terrible urge to work on Emer IV yesterday... and it is continuing on into today.

I just ordered the new Mac beast, 27" display 32 gigs ram and massive HD. Now I need to put together the little side table I ordered for the old Mac that runs the scanner software and such the the new one doesn't. I hope the software transition goes as smoothly as before, I know I will lose a lot of old apps, but I am 5 years behind the times with the Mac OS.

I am excited! Though I love my current Mac, and it will have a place in the office behind me, streaming my favorite classical station (WETA.org) and doing some other tasks. The new machine also has a large SSD, which I understand is like flash memory, faster than a HD but retains info like a USB thumb drive.

Of course I had to buy a new printer, and a thunderbolt-firewire adapter... ugh.  But also a bigger 27" screen will be nice. My current 21" screen was barely enough to handle a page spread and all the Adobe InDesign menus I needed to have open.

The SSD is going to be unbelievably fast compared to USB Sticks but as you say it does store things in a similar way.

I find a 2nd monitor is excellent to have all my PS and ID panels on but your 27" is a 5k monitor which has 5,000(ish)px wide compared to your current 1,920px (or perhaps 1,600px) wide so it'll fit quite a lot of your panels as well as a huge page spread! I'm jealous!   :o

At home I use two monitors and have been so for the last 12-13 years and at work I use 3 screens. As a developer something is missing when using a laptop or a single monitor even if its big, but I guess when making things like you do one large monitor and a very accurate mouse is priority for you!

I have two widescreen monitors, and I find I really can't work with only one monitor these days. I need to upgrade my RAM, though - 8GB doesn't cut it like it used to.
