What Next

I'm going to be splitting my attention two ways (not necessarily in this order):
1) Writing up more of my new HARP SF campaign, which will undoubtedly be published in due course. Some of the background material will be turning up sooner.

2) Starting some work on SysOp's Guide, particularly on equipment and vehicle creation rules, as getting these stable means that a) the vehicles in the core book can be made consistent and b) I can then legitimately stat up the new vehicles that Tim has put up in the Additional Ships. And maybe figure out a smuggler ship while I'm at it.

I hope so. If Tim remains overwhelmed, I can do a simple conversion of my doc into pdf here (as I've been doing with the more significant chunks) but it won't have the much better layout that Tim can and has achieved.

Tim continues to be overwhelmed - the plan, therefore, will be that I perform basic conversion of the manuscript into chapter pdfs and put them up, probably this weekend.

I will then continue to be reactive to problems encountered and will update the chapter pdfs as and when necessary.

That will be a bit difficult. 0.1.1 was based on version 4a of the manuscript. My current version is 4d. each doc currently has comment changes that distinguish it from its predecessor, e.g. 4d from 4c, 4c to 4b, 4b from 4a. But there isn't a complete set from 4d direct to 4a. I will see if I can export the comments list from each.

so not terribly useful. Unless you are Tim with a laid-out version of the manuscript and are comparing it with the new text so that you only make changes to the laid-out version. That was the plan anyway. It is looking more like Tim will have to do it completely from scratch.

My suggestion for those wanting to track what's changed is to look at the ToDo thread - if it is marked alpha, beta, or done, it will be in the new pdfs.

ICE have had bad experiences with change tracking in that revisions made by an author/editor, have been undone on transfer to another machine.
