Boy reading through the recent posts makes me want to run RMSS again. No, I don't think I'll be investing in RM United heavily. RMSS works for me, still. :)
I'm currently running three games at the moment (Mutants and Masterminds. Shadowrun, and Pathfinder w/Jade Regent) on OpenRPG. But reading all of these makes me want to run Return to the Keep on the Borderlands with RMSS backed behind it. Ah. :)
So, anyone interested?

I have ran Keep on the Borderlands with RMSS. Was a most excellent adventure. When the Priest betrays the party in the crypy...oh that was fun.
With a good out line and a few maps, the adventure can be run with limited prep. Place plenty of herbs in the wilderness around the caves. I had the priest a paladin of Illoura, a Goddess of Nature. She knew nothing about herbs and foraging, and the party DID pick up on that odd fact but drew no useful conclusuions till it was far to late.

I've used The Keep as a home base for the players for the past few games. After running through some "From The Ashes" Greyhawk and then a few good MERP modules (Dorwinion Wine Merchants!), they found the Keep. It's on the edge of the Vesve Forest, so there's usually something going on.
Being on the boarder of civilization, they don't always come home to peaceful times. Politics, Lizardman peace talks, spiders in the forest, invading orcs..
The entire Caves system was a holding area where troops could stay while awaiting orders from the Underdark. How else could so many hostile races live so close together? So, it was more of a barracks, with each section devoted to different creatures. The evil Priests gave them their orders; "build forces and raid specific outlying lands".
Plenty for the PC's to do. :)
Funny thing is, almost every player has played and GM'd the Keep at least twice over 20-30 yrs of gaming. But it's all new with RM rules.

I totally agree there! :)

If you're looking for volunteers to play, I'd certainly put my name forward! :)
Never played that adventure or in the Borderlands world.

Of course, each Gm can do their own thing, but I was pretty-sure that the Keep (while a BD&D module) was univerally thought of as being in the southernmost reaches of the Lortmil Mts., in the Principality of Ulek, on the border of that nation with the Wild Coast - and the Pomarj a very near neighbor to the south.
I would be into a game, but I have never gamed over the internet, and I don't have internet at home, but there are lots of places nearby that do - heck even the gym I go to has free wifi!

RandalThor, I'm sure you are correct.
What I should have said was in my game.. ;)
Fun blast from the past wherever you put it. Hope you get some players.

I'll prepare a little document that has approved races and everything. So, the frequently asked questions can be out of the way. :)

Sure is, definitely a great jumping off point and home base - at least for a while.

Okay, update!
I'm almost got the document ready when I was hit with influenza. Races available are all the races in RMFRP and Character Law plus Reptile Men (Lizard Folk or Solegueir, can't spell it off the top of my head). You are going to need a copy of RMFRP: Races and Cultures to play a reptile man.
The artist of Reptile has graciously helped me out with this, so be sure to send him some thanks when this is done. I just need to do price lists for weapons, armor, and clothes. For description of clothes, I'm referring you to DMG3 -- the 2e Arms and Equipment guide.

How many players are you looking for?

How many players are you looking for?
Given that my cousin would want to play, 4 players outside of the family. My cousin will usually demand to join up when he finds out. He did it before, he'll do it again.

Willing to give it a go.

OK, what I need to know is when this is going to be played. I mean, what day and time? I am assuming that this is not PBP, but more of a Skype-thing, right? If so, then I need to know when in order to determine if I can, or not.

It looks like Sunday or Saturday Nights will be the best day. Barring any important appointments for me. Around 6:00pm Mountain Standard Time?
The handout is complete and available on my skydrive (http://sdrv.ms/SkY3La). Download it if you like to play.

OK, so that is around 8PM my time (Eastern). I will check out the pdf and get back to you.

Room is up! :)
Open OpenRPG, go into the Unshaped server, and look for RMSS: Return to the Keep on the Borderlands.
