Hi guys,
in the newest "In search of Andraax" podcast, Bhanson asked Dms of the communty with a longer backround to share their experiences.
I'll start by sharing hisrequest on the podcast to present something from Rolemaster's past that could inspire others in their own campaigns. I'll be posting notes from my "Very" Grand Campaign I ran from 1996-2007 in Shadow World, which started with RMSS and later transitioned to D&D 3.5 in part two, due to a dwindling number of interested Rolemaster players in our German vicinity. I had to handle the conversion myself, as Terry/ICE couldn't produce a D20 version of Shadow World, despite the manuscript being ready—only the layout was missing. In this campaign, you'll discover more than just the Grand Campaign, woven together for players up to level 20. In part two, you'll find stories centered around the main character "Morden," an exceptionally skilled and dedicated roleplayer. My group of players changed twice during this period, and ultimately, I had to leave Shadow World because I had exhausted all the content that interested me. I used the following Shadowworld modules in the Campaign: The Ogrillion Horror, Tales of the Loremasters II, The Great Campaign, curse of Kabis (sceptre of order is used for backround), Quellbourne land of the silver mist, Journey to the magic isle, The legacy of the seadrake (Jaiman land of twilight), Demons of the burning might, Darkhold (D&D supplement), Tale of the comet (D&D supplement), Amber (Diceless roleplaying for abilities of Siala)

Thanks

🤗✊

Thank you, and yeah babee = more!
Thank you!  :) Don't hesitate to dive into the ICE Discord servers—there's a lot more activity happening there compared to the ICE forum- I'm currently working on a variety of projects, which you can find here and in the FRPG/RMU Forum:

  1.  Epic Tales of Gryphonburgh (Green Gryphon Inn) – This epic story is richly detailed, featuring contributions from professional authors and stunning artwork, immersing readers in the main narrative paths of my home campaign. It will be updated regularly and is linked to the next project.

2.  Tales from the Green Gryphon Inn Expansion I-III
Expansion I: Gryphonburgh's Map and Demographics V5 – A detailed, downloadable, and zoomable overland map covering a 100- to 5-mile radius around Gryphonburgh, from Ixbridge to Haalkataine. It also provides all the demographic data and details you may have missed about various villages and towns in Rhakhaan.
Expansion II (in progress): New NPCs, Adventure Ideas, and Places – This expansion brings Gryphonburgh to life as a home base for your campaigns. It features descriptions and artwork for important NPCs like the Maglean noble family, the town council, service providers, the Thieves' Guild, and more. You'll also find adventure ideas, new storylines, and connections to existing material from the original module. It will also contain a more detailed smaller map of the area 20 miles around Gryphonburgh.
Expansion III (in research): Old NPCs and Places Revisited – This will add new twists, pictures, and updates to unresolved storylines from the original adventure. It also explores Malica and the Iron Wind, offering new adventure material as I've used it in my campaign. Hopefully, I'll have a complete detailed map of Gryphonburgh town in isometric style (using Incarnate mapstyle) finished by the time I publish the final part.

3.   Dun Cru Unlife Shadowworld Expansion (in planning) – In my campaign, Dun Cru is an alternate reality, largely overtaken by the Unlife. This expansion delves into the origins of the Unlife, featuring portals that allow the Iron Wind to reinforce their hold. Because both Dun Cru and Gryphonburgh are available on Fantasy Grounds, they serve as great starting points for new online campaigns.

4.   Podcasts for RMU, FRPG, and Shadowworld – These casual and humorous podcasts discuss various topics, such as:
        - Whether a product is worth buying or useful for your campaign.
        - Reviews of novels and rulebooks, and how they can enhance character development.
        - Rediscovering old material with a modern perspective on RPGs.
        - Perfect for listening in short sessions, whether on the go or between games.
        - The podcast library is continuously growing, with more Rolemaster products being explored.

5.   Community Art Library – I'm also creating together with the community a shared art library, with and without AI-generated images, to modernize older modules or replace artwork that doesn't resonate with you. This includes photorealistic depictions of NPCs, locations, events, gods, and stories from Shadowworld. It's connected to all of the above projects, and everything can be downloaded from the same Google Drive that hosts podcasts, adventures, and artwork.

6. Last but not least you can win an old product from ICE shadowworld (personally OCR by myself), that was never published online as pdf, if you solve a shadowworld trivia...'
Hope to see you on the discord ICE servers soon.
Have fun
Micael ;)
