A short idiot's guide to Rolemaster leaflet would save time for a GM to prep his players on how things function. It would only need to accomodate for players and how to navigate thier characters through the basic game mechanics.

If somebody wants to write something up for this, I will volunteer to PDF it (including some nice ICE art) during those little bits of free time that I have..

The key point is that somebody actually has to write it up...  :D

Before one gets enthusiastic about writing the idiots guide, perhaps it would be prudent to establish what not to include. I can't see the need for detailing the difference in temporary and potential stats etc. in the initial stage. I've had one idea that you might want to play with; is to have certain areas highlighted in colour on the character sheet i.e. red for the hit point area, blue for weapon bonus, green for special skills etc. When the GM ask what a players specific skill bonus is he should be able to find it straight away on his character sheet. This idea might be to simple to some but whatever gets the job done. Like I've said before I've no experience at conventions, I'm just throwing ideas around.

And to answer my own question:
I'm part-running Constitution this year (www.constitution-con.org.uk) and might be able to squeeze in a HARP(SF) game.

I'll undoubtedly be attending Dragonmeet in December (this and next year) and hopefully UK Games Expo in 2010. And more likely to be able to run a game or two at those. Which may or may not be "official" scenarios.

Best wishes,
Nicholas

I do GASPcon in Pittsburgh every year, and I've done Chuck-A-Con as well (both in Pittsburgh).

I'm running an adventure from the Guild Adventurer at GASPcon this year, and I will be running a HARP game using my Shadow Children setting idea at Chuck-A-Con this year as well.

Would I be willing to run official adventures in 2010, sure, but like I said, I stay close to home.

I keep meaning to do COScon, and SIBcon which are north of Pittsburgh, but I never get around to actually doing it.

Awesome con name!

OK, we've got some probable presence in Pittsburgh-area cons, some in Australia, and some in the UK. Anyone else attending conventions - anyone hopeful of attending Origins or GenCon Indy next year? DragonCon?

Best wishes,
Nicholas
