I think he is alluding that the American government has forsaken New Orleans. He may be right......

No.
Actually, New Orleans gov't has forsaken New Orleans.
And we all know what party is in charge of New Orleans.
I really don't want this to degenerate into a thread locking political debate, but the above statement (by Randal) can be argued against (quite convincingly too I might add).

Meanwhile, back on topic...
I was curious to see the ratio between "American" fans of ICE and European and other fans. Also, if any of you Europeans know, how popular is D&D in Europe and what kind of reception is 4e getting?
Remember, don't bash the company or game too hard, for Rasyr doesn't like that...

Thanks!

There are some many alternative RPG in France (I don't know these games).
Me and my friends are a very small exception: we play (these times) HARP (my bro) and RolemasterC (me). These games have a poor audience in France.

D&D 3.5 did a big score (to me a good non perfect game).
D&D 4 not.
I don't like this new game with video game rules system. I played one session with a cleric of Pelor (my favorite god in Greyhawk...): I could'nt cast light spells: what a shame!!! ("tout naze" in french).

If Louis XV, XVI and Napoleon did let the English do what they wanted in America ( or hadn't sold the remaining territory to the Americans ), Detroit would be called Fort D?troit, New Orleans would still be La Nouvelle Orl?ans, and the whole Mississipi valley up to lake Huron would speak French.  ;D

I think, if your going to say nationality as a topic, you need a list of nationalities rather than continents.

so I've ticked my continent....

also Australia should be Australasia, so as to cover other islands in the region...

Do you really have to nit-pick me like that?
After I made the title and I realized I very well couldn't list all the countries, I simply listed the continents. I was sure that the fellow forum members would understand and, as many have done, list their country as well.

If you feel slighted or insulted by my simple, yet understandable error, rest assured that it wasn't my intention. I apologize and thank you for the advice that will help me the next time I create a topic/thread.

If it where down to me I'd be listed a Middletonian, and I wouldn't expect you to lest every town or village in the world ;)

I'm merely being nitpicky for the sake of it, I know you understand that one <chuckle>

it would be an interesting excersise to expand this topic though, perhaps listing languages you game in to see what translations would be profitable.

Boy that would be a big pole. What are there 167 nationalities now?

OK, I chime in late;
but better late than never.

And we have many US-states here in Germany:
Kalifornien, Texas etc.
The reason the people wanted to emigrate to the USA but could afford it.
So they left their town and founded a new one with their beloved name ...

I was just making a joke.  Sorry it was taken seriously.  New Orleans as being "a bit different" is a joke that long pre-dates Katrina.

Next time I'll remember to use a wink or a smiley.   :)

I just want to thank everybody for all the constructive criticism. I can assure all that if I ever find myself posting a poll ever again, that next endeavor will be better worded, with proper choices, due to the advice received.

Thank you.
