Very nice.  Am I picking up on a bit of a parody-ish style with nods to the D&D iconic characters being terrorized by "what RM has in store for them?"  If so...very clever!!!

Went with "If you see a Dragon. . . .Run" I see. . . like that one.

(BTW, the dog escapes, no animals were harmed in the production of this book.)

Very nice to see a cover, for a change, from the GM's perspective. <evil laughter>

Bonus points cause it's an action scene, with background, and not just a single, posed character. McBride would approve, I'm sure.   Huzzah, for action!!!   :)

Love the cover.  Think I will buy the book just for it.

I love this illo, I said so when I saw it.

I don't see it as suitable for C&T (IMO), it just doesn't say it's full of creatureS.

if you do run with it, can we have it cropped so we can see the dragon properly, or the image looses it's great impact.

Yes, "applause for the new green dragon".

(BTW, the dog escapes, no animals were harmed in the production of this book.)

Hope this is stated in the book,

You are not the only one, as soon as I saw the cover I thought of the D&D iconic characters.  ;D

I do beleive there is a reference to a lack of dragons to use for combat testing, shy creatures. (or was that AL?)

sorry...I ment 'party' not part...ie the dog gets mad into a nice curry, something spicey as it will be a little chewy

I still don't like the cover for this book, in fact RMX as it is a whole game would be best having this great cover artwork (and yes i know I laid the RMX cover out, I just think this will inspire people more) but for C&T I think it is less than suitable.

Hrm ... the cover doesn't look as nice as the other RMC ones.

I'm normally in favour of dynamic covers, but this one (as ictus noted) doesn't seem quite appropriate for the subject matter.

Also, the characters look rather too 'D&D 3e'-ish IMO.  In particular, the dwarf looks like 'Tordek' (or whatever his name is -- the 'iconic dwarf fighter' for D&D 3e).  I'm not sure using a cover with such a '3e' look is a great idea for RMC (even if it is implicitly mocking the 3e 'iconic adventurers' by displaying them fleeing from a dragon).  RMC should strive to maintain its distinct identity.

As for the interior, I would recommend either leaving a break between the stats and descriptive text, or not indenting the first paragraph of the descriptive text.  As it is, it can be difficult to discern immediately when the stat info (innate abilities, etc.) ends and the descriptive text begins.

Sorry for all the negativity.   :-\  The interior art is very good, as is usual for ICE books!  :)
Akrasia: literally, "bad mixture", the Greek term for the character flaw of incontinence or weakness of the will, the condition in which an agent is unable to perform actions that are known to be right.

The sheer amount of interior art is a good thing in my humble opinion. It was something I felt was lacking from the old C&Ts. As for the cover art I am kind of neutral about it. I havent really felt pleased with any of the RMC covers, finding the more dynamic covers of the old RM2 books much more to my liking and would have preferred if something like those would continue. I guess I would throw my note in with Ictus and Akrasia and say they really have that 3e feel to them. None the less I would buy them anyhow (as I already have)

I think violence in games only causes violence in real life if the person in question has an insufficient mental capacity to deal with the real world in the first place. But, that's more the fault of poor genetics and poorer parenting than it is the fault of a videogame

I would venture that all three of the characters look like the 3E "iconic' characters which may be alright but I would have prefered something else. I have purchased the first RMC books since I was always a big fan of RM2 and will buy the C&T book for the same reasons.  But I do think the cover could have been a bit better.

Perhaps it would be appropriate to have a similar "stained glass window" type picture to match the them of the other three books.  C&T is a "core book" any way you slice it and it would be cool to keep the theme of the core books going.  The same would go for GM Law as well.  Save the "off theme" covers for the companions.

I do think the picture is cool (and the parody of the D&D iconics is absolutely priceless) but as a choice for a cover for the C&T book I would have to say that it doesn't seem to hold the same reverence as the the other three.  This is an important book.  It deserves the same respect in presentation.  ;)

I gotta admit, I immediately thought it was the D&D Dwarf also.  If this was unintentional, then I have to say I'm not a fan.  If it was meant as some sort of parody then, okay I get it, funny and all, but I have to wonder if Rolemaster is going to replace it's first title word with "Hack."
