If you've read Alternative 'Bonus Skill' Resolution, I'd appreciate hearing your opinion of the mechanic, especially if you've tried it in play.

Going with the 7-ranks aspect seems kind of off-putting, to me. I think that something easier to deal with is better, like:

For every 10 full ranks in a complementary skill, the character gets a +5 to the primary skill check. Only one complementary skill may be used for a single primary skill.
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Scratch that. Power attracts the corruptible.

Rules should not replace the brain and thinking.
