Has anybody adapted ERA for Middle Earth?

Do you mean MERP or Rolemaster set in Middle Earth? I do the latter with no modifications. We play RM2 BUT RMC tables are close enough.

You'd need to create all professions, races and cultures.
Spell lists are probably just spell law limited to level 10.
No MERP content can be provided for ERA officially since ICE does not own the rights to that content. And because of how Tolkien Estate does things, I guess it wouldn't even be legal to offer those ERA files even for free.
