Starblazers?

 :P
You have never seen Starblazers? I forget how young some people are or maybe just how old I am. Yes it is a military cartoon that was popular in the early 80's. You might be able to find it on line and watch an episode or two to see if you like it or it it would help you out in your game.

I've seen it, Mark.  Two times.  Once while I was a child, and just recently.  I wanted to mention that at one time, I wanted to get RPG rights.  But as time went on, it never became a priority.

They did come out with a RPG game but I do not know how it is. But IIRC it was very very rules lite and had a lot of fluff. Which can be a big problem IMO.

Then it was a good idea that I didn't get the RPG rights.

Hmph!
I really liked Herculoids... as well as Space Ghost and Thundar the Barbarian.

Yeah, I am old...

Thundaar the Barbarian was awesome! I have about 10 hours on VHS tape. I love PA!!!!!!

Oh, Thundarr the Barbarian was adapted to White Box D&D a while back. :)
But this is about Spacemaster, not Rolemaster . . . :)

Well, in our defense, Thundaar is a PA setting and is more akin to Spacemaster than to D&D, IMHO.

And since you are using STAR*DRIVE, isn't there anything else in the book that whets your interest? If you have the book I think you have, there should be some ideas presented on how to run the STAR*DRIVE campaign.
At any rate, the campaign you desribe is best represented by Traveller.
And the Star Frontiers site has every module ever printed for SF... worth a look.

OMG---Star Frontiers!  I haven't thought about that game since I was a kid.  'Crash on Volturnus' was the first sci fi module I ever played through.

by the way....this is the ONLY site officially licensed by WotC to offer free downloads of Star Frontiers products.  The owner of this site has been licensed to offer these products since 1993, so it is not Pirate Ware.

This material would make an outstanding SM:P campaign.

Oh yeah! :D

I've looked at the covers, and Star Frontiers has a lot of classic SF material.  I'm talking SF from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.  It would make an outstanding SM:P campaign!!

One of the best PA settings!
When I saw the remake of Joules Verne's Time Machine, with that silliness about mining the moon in half, I thought "that's from Thundaar!
But they used a "runaway comet". Much cooler! :)

However, watching the show again -- on youtube -- I kind of like Thundarr's rustic look.
