Feint question
« on: March 12, 2009, 12:08:32 AM »
Im confused at the Feint skill in the MA Companion.

Lets say I have a Feint skill of 50, and an OB with my broadsword of 70.

Can someone walk me through what happens ? The rules make it seem like I allocate only part of my bonus, but which and how ?

I can say you are not the only one. If you do a search on the Forum Archives you should find quite a lot of posts about it.

Hopefully someone will come along that has used it in a game as I use a home brew combat system. If no one has answered after a while I will dig out my book and try and help you.

The basic idea of feints in MAC is that you use parts of your regular OB to get a chance to remove enemy DB. If you are successful you recover half of the OB spent. What you can spend on feint is limited by your feint skill.

Maybe you can learn something from my houserules for feints that adress some shortcomings of the MAC rules
