Some things I'm finding out now.
I am from Argentina, my level of English is medium, so I base myself mainly on material that was translated into Spanish.
Although I played and ran Merp for about 20 years, and also D&D for 32 years, I always used things from the Kulthea universe because I find it very original and has a lot to do with what I like to create for my games.

Now, talking to Grok (the Twitter/x AI) I found out some things that you would be interested in knowing.

In the Spanish edition, Unlife is called "Thanatos" as the Greek god of death, without justification. And I thought that was it.

Well it turns out not. Apparently the Lords of Emer, who I always believed were titans, beings 7 meters high (23 feet), it turns out that no, they were human or elf magicians.

Isn't it great?

MisterK

Depends on what you call "lords of Emer".
- the Masters of Emer, who reigned in the Second Era, *are* titans. There are six of them, if I remember well. Their servants were the Xiosians, and the Laan, who are men.
- the people of Aldaron, who became Emperor of Emer in the early Third Era, are humanoid aliens who look like men. They are not numerous, and are similar enough to Laan that the two could mingle without issue. some of the Aldari were undoubtedly exceptional, since they can apparently be basically immortal in the right circumstances (see : Storm Wizard).
- the Unlife is not really described in the SW books. Some assign it to ultimate evil, others to destruction, others to corruption... I'm not sure there's a canon definition of the Unlife. You can make your own headcanon (I know I did) with the only problem is that you won't be compatible with *other* headcanons. But since your SW will likely diverge from the others significantly pretty fast, not being compatible is not a real issue.

katastrophe

My understanding of the unlike is that it is the end of everything. Not so much destruction but the extinguishment of all life and a resulting nothingness. It is a difficult concept for humans to understand, intentionally. That is why it seems strange that it is worshipped and ascribed to by some religions. Servants of the Unlike could not clearly understand fully what they are worshipping or, like Lorgalis, believe they can use it to their own ends, which they cannot.

The truth is that thank you very much, the limited knowledge of Grok can sometimes cause confusion, but the truth is that finding out that Thanatos as such did not exist, and in reality exists under the name "Unlife" already made me distrust everything.

Asking something else. Has anyone followed the work of the appreciated Terry?
