Didn't there used to be a Excel program to auto generate attack results and criticals available in the downloads years ago...? I know I have that program. I thought it was still available?

Don't know for sure if it used the RM2 table sets or the RMSS but it works pretty good for me.

Yes there was but it did not use the tables at all, IIRC. But it did work off of its own weapon formulas.

If you do have it you are lucky as IIRC ICE does not want to give away free books in electronic format. Please do not distribute the program to anyone else as it would be in violation of the ICE Copy Right Laws.
If you have any further questions on this matter please contact John @ ICE (no spaces) for further information and comments.

I do understand this, Though I originally obtained this combat program from the ICE Downloads pages some time 5 to 10 years ago. Thats why I was asking what happened to it since it used to be available Publicly from ICE as a free download?

During that time the downloads board was run by a different company and may not have done a thorough enough job of reviewing the files.

While ICE does protect copyright, we are understanding towards character creation tools, since they generally can't be used without the books to support them.  If they had lots of text copied from the books in them it would likely be an issue.  Combat programs are a different matter as one of ICE's key differentiators is the use of critical tables and copying the tables from Arms Law into a spreadsheet or program would blatantly violate ICE's IP.

And as far as I am aware, it is no longer publicly available. Chris has done a lot of great things in support of ICE over the years so we're all good.

Hello,

The original version of the spreadsheet used the formulas from RMCII.  The updated version used the actual tables from Arms Law.

Hope this helps.
