Reducing spell criticals
« on: September 26, 2010, 02:09:10 PM »
The lighting bolt spell on criticals greater that E give you 2 crits.  For example on a G you get an E electric and a B impact.  If you are fighting a creature that reduces crits by 1 or 2 steps do you reduce the inital G to an F or E or reduce the E and B?

Doesn't matter what the "G" is composed of - that is what you would reduce the severity of.

You would reduce the "G" two steps down to an "E"

An "I" critical would become a "G" critical which is rolled as an E and B critical.

Makes sense?

I think violence in games only causes violence in real life if the person in question has an insufficient mental capacity to deal with the real world in the first place. But, that's more the fault of poor genetics and poorer parenting than it is the fault of a videogame

Yeah thanks all.  We were having that discussion last week and were not sure.
