As far as playing in a setting, I'm pretty open.  I'm fine with the D&D standard.  That is high, fantastic magic to me.  As far as building my own world, I'm very into low magic and low fantasy right now.  Conan is a big influence to me.

I'm okay with really powerful magic, but I think it should be pretty risky. Fireballs and lightning bolts are one thing, but anything beyond raising the dead should risk the caster's sanity at the very least, unless he gets every detail just so.
