mini's?
« on: June 11, 2008, 03:26:55 PM »
hi-dee-ho folks!

I'm taking a break to try and tackle a little something that's been making me nuts for I dunno how long now. that being the case of the sci-fi/present day/cyberpunk type miniatures.
I'd be very greatful if you have any links to some sights that you might have for mini's that would fit any or all of these genre's.
many thanks in advanced,

Allen

I generally like reaper mini's but I do not remember if tehy have any of the stuff you are looking for as I think I am done buying mini's for a long time.
In the past I have been lucky to get Warhammer 40K mini's on close out from stores that are going out of bis. and I have not had to buy any in a long time.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Black scorpion (blackscorpionminiatures.com) do a fine job of modern US marines. Most of the Battlefield: Evolution products are good.
Mongrel is reasonable, but I'm not as fond as I could be of their weapons. (http://www.mongrelminis.co.uk/)
I like the look of Pig Iron Productions (http://www.pig-iron-productions.com - look at their order form) for heavy/armored infantry.
Wargames foundry (http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collections/SV/index.asp) has a street violence line that should cover a bunch too.
last one I can think of is Abberant games' Rezolution (www.aberrantgames.com)

Happy Hunting!

Nice, I allways liked what Reaper put out and the $ they charged seemed very reasonable.

yeah, they dont have much out right now, but they do look good.

I had me a little virtual shopping trip yesterday and found some really nice stuff at Foudry and copplestone... had to stop myself as the total was 300+ British Pounds and I dont even wanna think what that converts to is good ole US $$$'s. :(

that and I remeber just how poorly my painting skills are. LOL

I really like inexpensive minis options.
At flames Rising they have cyberpunk Disposable heroes (actually based off of R. Talsorian's cyberpunk!)
I also like the Steve Jackson Games Cardboard Heroes.
I've never seen cardboard spaceships yet but I'd like to see them!
I like easy ways to store things I don't use much and I don't use minis much.

Do you have a link to the Cyberpunk based mini's?

If you have a chance take a look at the Star Wars collectable ship game [I do not know the name as my friend has it and I just use his collection]. Yes it does have common, uncommon and rare ships in a booster pack but the ships are fairly good but if you have big fingers like me you will have trouble putting them together.

I'm glad I've got someone else hooked on paper minis.
I like them because I'm cheap and my painting skills suck big time.
Hope you enjoy them!
Game on!

Hope you get good use out of them.
I'm thinking of purchasing some of the fantasy DH minis myself and possibly the HARP ones too.
I was looking for my fiery Dragon ones and can't seem to find them and it has been a few moves and a few years since I last remember seeing them.
*sigh*
I think I've discovered another previously unknown casualty of my storage unit fire a few years back.  :'(

But woo-hoo (!) for eventual purchase of new minis!  ;D

Chello!

Shadowrun minis are always good, as well, and they have some motorcycles minis as well.  The same company also has the "Strett Fight Gothic" line; vamps and weres anybody? :)

I think we're required to like them as they have "Iron" in their name. :D

Mega Minis is a little rough in their design; they are very retro and early 80's in their look. They also fairly inexpensive. Note that they are also old school 25mm rather than the mor current 28mm that is more common.
